Brandon Smith  |  Glidewell

Brandon Smith is an award-winning public speaker, entrepreneur, and author. He is the host of the popular podcast "Dream Again" and he and his wife co-authored the best-selling children's book "Happy as a Hippo." He is a sought-after speaker, known for his ability to motivate and inspire audiences to think differently and reach their full potential. He has 19 years of experience in the insurance industry and currently serves as the EVP of Development & Strategy for Glidewell, a Montana-based insurance and investment firm. He is also the founder of Producer Development Program, a marketing and development program for independent insurance agents, and co-founder of Insurance Agency Owners Alliance, an association of over 8,000 agency owners who innovate and collaborate through live events, webinars, and more. He attended Southwestern University on a basketball scholarship, and still enjoys hoops in his free time. He is a die-hard Red Sox fan, loves coffee and Wi-Fi, and was once a line leader in second grade. He resides in Missoula, Montana with his wife Joy and their three children Avery, Boston, and Harper.

Mike Richardson is the 4th generation in his family to take over at Richardson Insurance. He started at the family agency as a temporary extra set of hands, but as he settled in, he saw the opportunity the insurance industry provided. He has already started grooming his daughter Maisie to be the 5th generation; she’s five. A pitcher from little league through his four years at Western New England College, Mike loves a good challenge. He is currently training to run 100 miles in 24 hours for charity.

 

Erin Richardson has over 20 years experience in the insurance business. She has worked in several different areas of insurance including claims, underwriting and as a producer, contributing to a very well-rounded career. She has worked on both the carrier side and now as part of the Independent Agency Channel working alongside her husband, Mike. Some of Erin’s greatest passions are being a valuable resource for team, long distance cycling and spending many creative hours on her Cricut machine.

W. Michael “Mike” McBride, JD, is CEO of Mason-McBride Inc. and Mason McBride Capital Advisors LLC in Troy, Michigan. McBride was installed as Big “I” chairman-elect in September 2022.

With over 35 years of experience in insurance and financial services, McBride is the former Michigan director on the national association board. He formerly served as chair of the Trusted Choice® Board of Directors, for which he is now the Executive Committee liaison. He has also been a member of the Technical Affairs Committee. He was elected to the Big “I” Executive Committee in 2017.

McBride is an expert witness consultant for insurance litigation and is a member of the Michigan Bar Association. He is also active in his community, including serving on the Ferris State University Insurance Program Advisory Board and as ethics committee chair of the Orchard Lake Country Club. He has also served on the Detroit Regional Chamber PAC Committee and the Detroit Athletic Club.

McBride holds a Bachelor of Science degree in insurance management from Ferris State University, a doctorate in jurisprudence from the University of Detroit Law School in Detroit, Michigan, and has also completed an executive development program at the Wharton School of Business.  He resides in Royal Oak, Michigan, with his wife Katie.

Director Dean Cameron was re-appointed by Governor Brad Little to serve as Director of the Idaho Department of Insurance, effective January 4, 2019.

Director Cameron was first appointed to serve by Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter, effective June 15, 2015. Since his appointment, Director Cameron has been active in the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), serving as Chair of the Western Zone, Chair of the Annuity Suitability Working Group, Chair the NAIC B Committee on Health Insurance and Managed Care, and the B/E Long-Term Care Task Force. He is currently President of the NAIC.

Director Cameron is a third generation insurance agent working for 32 years, and has 28 years of experience serving in state government with 25 years in the Idaho State Senate. He and his wife, Linda, have three children and six grandchildren.
